Wow! Time flys!
Over the summer I enjoyed the time I took off to be with my son. During those three months Elijah has really grown and developed faster than I imagined he would!
In his Second month of life, Elijah was rolling front to back and back to front. That was the biggest milestone for him in his second month! Elijah's sweet little cousin Jeweliana was born on August 19th, 2010! We were all excited for this special day!
In his third month of life, he learned that he could get on his knees and forearms. He would get really upset and mad when he couldn't figure out how to crawl. He loves to stand so I decided to get him a walker and a stationary jumper! He loves both of them! We have also discovered that he has involuntary side to side movement of the eyes, so his Doctor has referred him to a pediatric optometrist for further testing. Although Dr. Nasser is sending him to a Pediatric Optometrist, he doesn't think it is anything serious!!! Elijah has also learned that he can squeal!!!!!!! Let me tell you, I think, I may be going deaf! He has also learned to scoot across the floor! It is sooo funny to watch him when he does this! Elijah's other sweet little cousin Leah was born on August 26th, 2010! Yes even though Jewels and Leah are seven days apart, remember that Elijah was born on the 20th of May 2010 so that is why Jeweliana was part of his second month and Leah is part of his third month memories!
In his fourth month of life, Elijah has learned to Commando Crawl!!!! He has been cruising everywhere since!
In his fifth month of life, he has gotten two teeth one popped through on October 28th, 2010 and the second one popped through on November 7th, 2010! Elijah now has learned to use a whisper voice! I love this.....maybe my ears will heal from the damage from his squealing! He is very fascinated by his grandpa! Elijah loves it when his grandpa gets on the floor and talks to him! (by the way this is something that grandpa usually doesn't do! He doesn't really show much affection) Elijah likes to be next to Leah on the floor! He will hold her hand and talk to her! He even tries to give her kisses....It's soooo adorable! O and did I mention that he is VERY mobile! Walking in his walker and crawling everywhere!
After the summer was over I was going to go back to work at Gem State Gymnastics Academy, but I couldn't take Elijah to work with me and I wasn't going to pay to have him go to a daycare for me to go to work. My entire paycheck and then some would have gone to child care. Sooooo......This was my opportunity to be a stay at home mom like I have always wanted to be!
Well, just a couple days ago I got a job offer! Yes, that's right a job offer! After praying and thinking about it, Shawn and I decided it was best for me to take the job offer! It's only two nights a week maybe three. Shawn will take care of Elijah while I am at work then, when he leaves for work grandma will watch Elijah for about an hour. I am kinda sad that I am giving up some of my time with my son but at the same time I am happy to get out of the house for a few hours a week!
Well that pretty much sums up the last 5 months or so!

One Month
Elijah is now a month old as of June 20th. In his first month of life he has learned that if he cries just a little, someone will be there right away to give him some attention. when you hold him in your arms he tries to sit up. I guess its his way of letting you know that he wants to see the neat and wonderful things around him. A couple of days ago I laid him on the floor to change his diaper and I turned my back for just a moment to get a diaper and wipes. When I turned back around Elijah had rolled onto his side. He has also discovered that he has a voice and he loves to use it!!
